“There’s something special and unique about shooting street photography. It’s real. It’s true slices of life as we see it — and many times, slices of life as the rest of us miss it.” - from an interview with ReadySetDC.com

My photographs take a quick candid look at everyday moments — the lives of the people and strangers that I encounter on the street or in public places. I find beauty in these simple aspects of life; the face of a stranger, the shadows or reflections of a man or woman or even the simple smile on the face of a passing child.
I have always felt that 90% of photography is about what the photographer sees. The choice of camera makes up the rest. All of the works featured on Just What I See were created with an iPhone — a camera that’s always with me. I am not an iPhoneographer, rather a street photographer who uses an iPhone as one of my primary cameras.
In 2011, I founded and launched Mobile Photo Group with 11 of the world’s most creative mobile photographers. Read more here.
Photography for me was not intentional — yet now, it seems essential. My photographs are dedicated to my wife Suzy.
